When you support VisArts’ scholarship fund you help send a kid to camp!
VisArts’ camps for children, tweens, and teens encourage self-expression, collaboration, and problem solving while also emphasizing fun, creativity, and process over product. What’s most important to us is that our campers feel happy, valued, and accepted.
Our experienced instructors, most of whom teach art in local public and private schools, encourage campers to take risks and make mistakes so they can learn how to work through differences, engage in healthy relationships, develop confidence, and build resilience. At VisArts, our campers discover who they are as artists and, more importantly, who they are as human beings.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been particularly difficult for our children as it’s disrupted their education, extracurricular activities, and household routines, and made it harder for them to learn, connect, and manage often intense emotions. In the best of times, VisArts’ camps provide a supportive, creative community that can be a lifeline for children experiencing loneliness, anxiety, boredom, frustration, or sadness – this was especially true last summer as we quickly transitioned to an online camp platform. We’re hard at work now developing ways to bring the safest and most accessible camps to our campers this summer.
Despite the challenges we’ve faced as an organization, VisArts remains committed to providing all children, regardless of family income, access to the transformative power of visual arts. That’s why each summer we provide camp scholarships to families in need – and why I’m asking for your help today. If you contribute to VisArts’ Vibrancy Fund this month, we can grant additional scholarships to campers who need them most.
Please give what you can to VisArts' Vibrancy Fund this year. Your gift of any amount – $5, $10 or $15 donations add up! – will make a big difference for children in our community.
Thanks for your support.
