We have launched our Vibrancy Fund Campaign and I'm hoping you will join me in supporting an organization and community that I truly am proud to be a part of!
It’s been a challenging year with months of stay-at-home orders, masking, and social distancing, but art has continued to inspire. Art connects us all!
But the creation of art comes at a cost, and the cost for arts organizations has never been higher. The pandemic has decimated revenue streams, plunging many arts organizations into uncertainty and financial loss. While the impact on VisArts has been profound, I’m pleased to report that we’ve survived by being nimble, determined, and responsive in designing virtual and socially distanced opportunities to create and connect with you. We also owe a huge debt of gratitude to our generous donors and federal, state, and local funding organizations that have kept us afloat. We wouldn’t be here today without them.
VisArts is here to stay, but we urgently need your support from #GivingTuesday through December 31 so we can continue offering the programs and events you love.
We're mindful that many of you are also facing financial challenges, and we're especially grateful for your support. While the near future is uncertain, we believe that together, we'll not only survive -- we'll thrive!
With your support, we can continue to live up to VisArts' mission to transform individuals and communities through the visual arts.
Your support means that we can help more people live more fully by joining our visual arts family.
- We can provide paid fellowships and residencies, free or discounted art studios, and waived exhibition fees to more artists who otherwise wouldn’t be able to launch or sustain their careers.
- We can open our doors and invite our community in to view free contemporary art exhibitions.
- We can encourage more artists with disabilities to join our VisAbility Art Lab, where they can create, exhibit, and sell their art, while engaging with each other and our community.
- We can give the gift of art camp scholarships to more children whose working families aren’t able to cover the full cost.
- We can give the gift of free or discounted art classes to more students who don’t have money for “extras.”
- We can share our warm, welcoming community with more people who need it most.
We just can’t do it without you – our class, camp, and event fees don’t cover these much-needed additional costs.
Your gift will make a difference for so many deserving people in our community. Will you help make these transformations possible?
Thanks so much.
Sincerely.
Frank McCauley
